Today, a friend in the QQ CNC group encountered an alarm when the spindle rotated above 3000 rpm. It was normal when the spindle rotated below 3000 rpm. The picture of the alarm is as follows:

Through the alarm interface, we can know that the machine tool system that alarmed is the FANUC system. The system alarm message is the alarm information related to the spindle and the peripheral alarm information of the machine tool. ​

One of the alarms is an SP9031 alarm, and the other is a PMC alarm triggered by a spindle alarm, so the SP9031 alarm needs to be solved. Let’s take a look at the detailed description of the SP9031 alarm first:

Reason for alarm: The motor cannot rotate at the command speed, but stops, or rotates at an extremely low speed.

(1) The alarm occurs when rotating at extremely low speed

(a) The parameter settings are incorrect.

Please refer to the FANUC AC SPINDLE MOTOT parameter manual (B-65280CM) to confirm the parameters set by the sensor.

 

(b) Motor phase sequence is wrong. Please confirm whether the motor phase sequence is wrong.

(C) The feedback cable of the motor is wrong. Please confirm whether the A/B phase signals are connected reversely.

(D) The feedback cable of the motor is faulty. Please rotate the motor by hand and confirm the motor speed on the NC diagnostic switch or whether the speed is displayed on the spindle check board. If the speed is not displayed, please replace the cable or spindle sensor (or motor).

(2) The alarm occurs when there is no rotation at all.

(a) The order of locking the spindle is wrong. Please confirm whether the spindle is locked in sequence.

(b) Power line failure. Please confirm whether the power cable to the motor is connected correctly.

(C) SVPM failure. Please replace SVPM

Since the spindle can run normally below 3000 rpm, it means that the motor encoder and power cable are normal. After asking, the machine tool has high and low gears but has been changed, and the contactor is used, so through this alarm, we can know that the problem is likely to occur. On top of the shift contactor.
