FANUC SP9001 Reason for alarm:

It is detected that the internal temperature of the spindle motor exceeds the specified temperature.

FANUC SP9001 troubleshooting

When an alarm occurs, first check diagnostic parameter 403 to confirm that the current spindle motor system displays temperature data; then use a temperature measuring gun or manually touch the spindle motor to confirm whether the spindle motor temperature matches the diagnostic display temperature;

If the spindle motor temperature is indeed high, follow the steps below to confirm:
If this alarm is displayed during cutting (spindle motor temperature is too high)
Check whether the cooling status of the spindle motor is abnormal. When the fan motor for cooling the spindle motor stops, check whether the power cable for the fan motor is connected correctly and whether there are scratches or other defects on the cable. If it cannot be restored, replace the fan motor;
If the cooling method of the spindle motor is liquid cooling, please confirm whether there is any defect in the cooling system;
Check the surrounding ambient temperature. If the ambient temperature of the spindle motor is high (exceeds the specified range), please improve it to within the specified range;
If there is no abnormality in the above inspection, confirm whether the processing status is normal (whether the spindle is under high load for a long time)
If this alarm is displayed under light load (whether the spindle is under high load for a long time)
Check whether the spindle acceleration and deceleration frequency is too high. If the spindle acceleration and deceleration frequency is too high, reduce the spindle acceleration and deceleration frequency;
Check the spindle motor model, confirm the spindle motor code and check whether the inherent parameters of the spindle motor are correct, or re-initialize the spindle motor parameters and then test;
If this alarm occurs just after the power is turned on, or if the actual temperature of the spindle motor is very low, follow the steps below to confirm:
Confirm whether the inherent parameters of the spindle motor are correct and check whether the setting of parameter 4134 is correct;
Check whether the feedback cable of the spindle motor is normal and replace it in time if abnormal;
Confirm whether the internal temperature sensor of the spindle motor is normal. Under normal circumstances, the resistance value of the thermistor of the spindle motor is about 45KΩ. If the measured resistance value is abnormal, the spindle motor needs to be replaced;
If the above checks are all normal, please replace the spindle driver and perform testing.
If this alarm occurs when connecting a third-party spindle, you should check the thermistor type of the spindle motor and confirm the setting parameters 4397#4 and 4134.
