FANUC SP9009 OVERHEAT MAIN CIRCUIT

一、FANUC SP9009 Reason for alarm

An abnormal rise in temperature of the spindle amplifier’s heat sink or power element (IPM) was detected.

二、FANUC SP9009 troubleshooting

If this alarm occurs when the load meter is below the continuous rating of the amplifier, please confirm the cooling status of the radiator.
If the filter at the air inlet of the control cabinet is dirty or the cooling air flowing into the radiator is cut off by foreign objects, the radiator is not cooled sufficiently. Please make improvements to ensure that cooling air flows adequately into the radiator.
If the ambient temperature of the spindle amplifier is outside the specification range (high), please improve it so that it is within the specification range.
If this alarm occurs when the load meter exceeds the continuous rating of the amplifier, please modify the cutting conditions. If the radiator of the spindle amplifier is obviously dirty, clean it with air, etc. In addition, please also discuss the structure of the control cabinet that does not directly contact the radiator, such as cutting fluid.
If this alarm is displayed under light load (radiator temperature is high)
Confirm whether the spindle acceleration and deceleration frequency is too high. If it is too high, please reduce the spindle acceleration and deceleration frequency.
Check the spindle motor specifications, confirm the spindle motor code and check whether the inherent parameter settings of the spindle motor are correct, or perform a test after initializing the spindle motor parameters;
If this alarm is displayed just after turning on the power
Check and confirm whether the spindle amplifier control circuit board is installed correctly. Please insert the control circuit board on the front of the spindle amplifier to the bottom. If it is not plugged in properly, please pull it out and plug it in again (this alarm may be displayed due to poor contact between the connector connecting the control circuit board and the power circuit board).
If the fault cannot be eliminated after the above inspections, directly replace the spindle amplifier.
